How does a British artist who lives in Spain end up with a German book and turning it into this? Well... Meine Schwiegermutter ist Deutsche.
 
This altered book is made of a 1957 German edition of "Die kleine Hexe" by Von Otfried Preussler. ('The little witch' in English). It is a classic children's novel illustrated by Winnie Gebhardt - Gayler.
 
The pages are hand folded into a mountain then I cut out and reused some of the original illustrations to make a mountain scene.
